21 Nov NEW TATTOOS, NEW DESIGNS AND NEW MEMBERS TO THE CREW AT OTAUTAHI TATTOO!
What a year 2014 has been so far! we’re already ripping into May, almost half way through the year and it feels as if it only started 8 weeks ago! it’s been an exciting year for Otautahi, with our new location in Queentown taking off and having such an amazing welcome to the area down there! but we’ve also had some changes happening up at home base in Auckland as well, with a new shop manager coming on board, William Cook, and having the lovely Tanya Buxton working with us an a guest spot currently! we’ve been changing up the ship fit and rearranging and exchanging a lot of the artwork around the walls, getting new pieces up and refreshing the atmosphere of Otautahi Tattoo!
We’ve had Tama Raihania, an amazing ta moko and kirituhi artist, start working with us full time, currently two weeks on and one week off! Tama first started working with us over the Rugby World Cup back in 2011, and was an amazing addition to the team helping out with the large volume of work coming through with the influx of tourists through the city/country as well!
We’ve also had Trev Teau join the team again working on his beautiful pacific tatau style, specializing in polynesian design. Another addition to the crew is a Cook Island Maori artist-to-be, currently apprenticing, adding yet another element and another facet of art to the Otautahi team and the services provided.
With more on the horizon and only bigger and better thing to come, 2014 is a year to watch for Otautahi as we work on pushing ourselves further, pushing the abilities of the artists more and more and expanding the range of services and offers we can provide!
thanks for all the support you guys give us, it means the world!
